Fishing Report June 13th to 19th

Salmon fishing at it’s best! This past week has been one of the best starts to the season I can remember. 2010 was a great year and 2011 is looking even better. Last weeks high tides brought huge numbers fresh salmon into our rivers on every tide. All our guests at camp landed fresh salmon every day, no one was left out.  The Bonaventure, Petite Cascapedia and Grand Cascapedia have perfect water levels and the temperatures are perfect around 50 degrees. As soon as the water cleared up after the early June rain we took out our dry fly’s.  Fresh salmon have made it all the way up river to our top pools.

The hot flys this week have been the Nagil, Blue Charm, Blue Bonnie and Green Pearl. Dry flys have also been hot especially Brown, Green and blue bombers.
