Camp Bonaventure Fishing Report June 25th to 30th, 2012

From”Rags to Riches” is the best way to describe our water levels this past week. We were cryimg for rain on Monday, by Saturday we were saying “enough” Well, we are back to June water conditions and its great! The fishing has been excellent this past week and fresh salmon continue to enter on every tide. Beginning this week we will be seeing some of the highest tides of the summer, combined with high water, the July run should be great. All our pools are holding fish and the additional water has them spread out through the entire river. next week should be a blast!

Roy “Skog” Skogland with his first Bonaventure salmon, way to go Skog!

The hot fly’s this past week have been tubes, the 1 inch Sunray Shadow and other similar size tubes are working very well. Conventional wets include the Stone Ghost, Black Bear, Silver Rat and Nagli continued  to produce. Bombers, brown and green, but that’s no surprise.
