  • At Camp Bonaventure and Salmon Lodge, our packages include full days fishing with professional and knowledgeable guides, at a two guests to one guide ratio. There is the opportunity to fish the Bonaventure River, the Petite Cascapedia River and the Grand Cascapedia River. Transportation between the lodges and rivers is provided. All meals and beverages are included, and supper is perfectly paired and served with wine. Lodging consists of double bedroom accommodations with a private bathroom.
  • At The Club on the Bonaventure, our packages include split-day fishing with professional and knowledgeable guides at a two guests to one guide ratio. Fly-fishing on private water on the Bonaventure River as well as transportation between The Club and river is provided. All meals and beverages are included, and supper is perfectly paired and served with wine. Lodging consists of a private bedroom and bathroom accommodation.
  • Your Québec Atlantic Salmon Fishing License (unless purchased prior to your stay). 
  • Your Bonaventure River and Petite Cascapedia River membership (should you fish those rivers). A cost of $20.00 each. 
  • The Québec Tourism Tax, which we are obligated to charge as an outfitter. The cost is $5.25 a night per room. 
  • Transportation (at your request) between the airport/train station and your fishing destination (please view the transportation section below for more information). 
  • All purchases from the Pro-Shop. 
  • Rental equipment (at your request – please view the rental equipment section below for more information)
  • Our three lodges are located on the Gaspe Coast of Québec, Canada. All lodges are approximately a 45 minutes’ drive from each other. Please view the Google Map at the bottom of this page to explore our locations in respect to your current location.
  • The physical address of each fishing lodge is as follows:
    • Camp Bonaventure – 142 Chemin St-Georges Bonaventure QC. Canada G0C 1E0
    • Salmon Lodge – 752 Route 299 Cascapedia-St-Jules QC. Canada G0C 1T0
    • The Club on the Bonaventure – 301 Route de la Rivière, Saint-Alphonse QC. Canada G0C 2V0
  • Travelling by Air: We have three airports that are in close proximity to our camps from which we then offer transportation between the airport and your fishing destination.
    • Pascan Airline offers daily flights and private charters to the Bonaventure airport (YVB) and the Gaspé airport (YGP). The Bonaventure airport is a 10 minute drive from Camp Bonaventure and a 45 minute drive from Salmon Lodge and The Club on the Bonaventure. The Gaspé airport is a two and a half hour drive from Camp Bonaventure and just over a three hour drive from Salmon Lodge and The Club on the Bonaventure. 
    • Air Canada offers flights to the Bathurst airport (ZBF). The Bathurst airport is just over a two hours drive from Salmon Lodge and just under a three hour drive to Camp Bonaventure and The Club on the Bonaventure. 
  • Travelling by Train: Via Rail offers overnight trips between Montreal Québec and Campbellton New-Brunswick. The Campbellton train station is an hour drive from Salmon Lodge and just under a two hour drive from Camp Bonaventure and The Club on the Bonaventure.
  • At Camp Bonaventure, Salmon Lodge and The Club, we offer travel arrangements to and from the airports as well as the train station in our area. If transportation is necessary for you and/or the members of your fishing group, please let us know and we will gladly make the arrangements. The charges are as follows:
      • $100.00 (one way) to the airport in Bonaventure for Salmon Lodge or The Club (there is no charge between the airport in Bonaventure and Camp Bonaventure).
      • $250.00 (one way) to the train station in Campbelltown NB. for Camp Bonaventure, Salmon Lodge and The Club.
      • $385.00 (one way) to the airport in Bathurst NB. or Gaspé QC. for Camp Bonaventure, Salmon Lodge and The Club.
  • Please note that these charges are equally divided amongst the guests travelling with you in the shuttle. The transportation charges will be added to your invoice at the end of your stay.
  • It is mandatory that you own a Québec Atlantic Salmon fishing license to fish our three rivers. Licenses can be purchased on site at all three of our lodges or online prior to your arrival.
  • The cost of a Catch & Release license is:
    • $24.88 for a resident of Québec
    • $48.81 for a non-resident of Québec
  • The cost of a Tag license (that allows you to keep Grilse) is:
    • $57.10 for a resident of Québec
    • $183.19 for a non-resident of Québec
  • For your information, there is a mandatory catch & release policy for all large salmon on the Bonaventure River, the Grand Cascapedia River as well as the Petite Cascapedia River. Grilse (small salmon < 63 cm) may be taken with a Tag/Kill license. We do however strongly encourage our guests to practice catch and release.   • Arrival Day – Check in is any time after 3:00 pm. This gives our guests plenty of time to settle in, take a tour, enjoy a cocktail, and get into vacation mode. Hors d’oeuvres are served at 6:30 and supper is served at 7:30. 
  • Fishing Days – Please keep in mind that this is your fishing trip and your experience. These are suggested times, but should you wish to have an early start or to sleep in, we are happy to accommodate. Breakfast service begins around 6:00 am. The guides arrive at the lodges at 7:00 am. Your departure is whenever you are ready. If you are at Camp Bonaventure and Salmon Lodge, then you are usually gone for a full day of fishing. The Club on the Bonaventure, however, is perfectly located to welcome their guests back for lunch and then head out for afternoon fishing. You have the flexibility to return to the lodge at your discretion, provided it is before supper and darkness. Upon your return, hors d’oeuvres are served at 6:30 and supper is served at 7:30. 
  • Departure Day – Before going out to fish on your last day, we ask that all your personal belongings are removed from your room prior to your departure to the river. The daily routine is just like any other fishing day however upon your return to the lodge, your stay with us has come to an end. 

To help you prepare for a successful fly-fishing experience, here are some must-haves to bring:

Clothing & Accessories:

  1. Long and short sleeved shirts
  2. Full length pants and shorts
  3. Sweater, vest, or pullover
  4. Jacket for the cooler mornings and evenings in June and September
  5. Leggings and insulated socks
  6. Your favorite/lucky fishing hat
  7. A rain jacket
  8. Sunscreen and Bug repellent (also available at the pro-shop)

Fishing Equipment:

  1. Single-handed fly rods – 9’ 8/9 wt. 
  2. Spey and/or Switch rod – if preferred. Also available in our rental equipment should you be interested in learning. 
  3. Reel with adequate draw system capable of holding 150 yards of 20 lb backing.
  4. Floating line
  5. Waders
  6. Boots (felt soled preferred)
  7. Wading belt
  8. Polarized sunglasses
  9. Your favorite flies – wet and dry
  10. Leader material – we recommend maxima 8 to 15 lb test
  • Yes, we enthusiastically welcome anglers of all ages and skill levels! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, 3Camps is designed to provide a welcoming and enjoyable fly-fishing experience for everyone. Our professional guides are great teachers. 
  • Yes! We have a selection of brand name rods, reels, boots, and waders available to rent at all three lodges. Rental equipment is offered at a nominal fee of $25.00 a day to allow us to provide this service. Should you require equipment for your stay, please take a moment to share your sizes with us and your attire will be awaiting your arrival in the Rod Room.
  • Yes, we strive to accommodate a variety of dietary needs and preferences. Our menus are designed to cater to selective diets, allergies, and intolerances. Please let our staff know about any specific dietary requirements, and we will do our best to provide you with a menu that suits your needs. Your satisfaction and well-being are important to us, and we aim to create a dining experience that is inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
  • Absolutely! We welcome guests of all interests, and your non-fishing partner is more than welcome to join you at our lodge. While you indulge in the fishing experience, they can enjoy the scenic surroundings, partake in other available activities, or simply relax and unwind at the lodge. We aim to provide an enjoyable experience for everyone, regardless of their interest in fishing. Our in-house guest rate is $450.00 a day. If there’s anything specific, you’d like to arrange for your partner during their stay, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate their preferences.   • Yes, we do have Wi-Fi available for our guests. Feel free to connect and enjoy seamless internet access during your stay. However, cell service may be an issue depending on your location, so we suggest connecting your Wi-Fi Calling option on your cellular phone.
  • Our first communication following your selection of dates would be a Confirmation Letter and Invoice via email within 24 hrs. We request that you take a moment to review the reservation and send a short reply, confirming the reception. 
  • In April, our guests will receive a Registration Form. We request that all anglers and in-house guests take a moment to complete this form in a timely manner. The information will help us update your file and take care of all the details pertaining to your stay. We want nothing more than for you to fish, relax and enjoy. Should you be a returning guest and have completed the form in the past, we kindly ask that you re-submit, because much can change over the course of a year.   • In May, an “Introduction to our Team & What’s New” will make its way to your inbox. We hope you enjoy the read and we look forward to welcoming you to 3Camps this season!
  • Deposits: a deposit of 50% is required within 30 days of booking your reservation (creation of the Confirmation Letter and Invoice). The final payment is due March 1st (the year of your fishing trip). If your trip is booked within 60 days of your arrival, the final payment will be due a week prior to your arrival date.
  • We accept the following methods of payment:
    • Credit Card – please note that there is a 2% charge added to your deposit.
    • Cheque – please make the amount payable to Camp Bonaventure and send your deposit to the following address: 142 Chemin St-Georges Bonaventure Québec, Canada, G0C 1E0.
    • Interac E-Transfer – please send your deposit to this email address: reservations@3camps.com
    • Wire Transfer – our banking information will be provided as a pdf attachment in the Confirmation Letter. Please note that you are responsible for the $15.00 transfer fee charged from your banking institution.
  • The reservation, deposit and cancellation policies used by Camp Bonaventure, Salmon Lodge and The Club on the Bonaventure are standard in this industry. 
  • Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your trip for any reason, you must notify us by email or in writing. We will then make every attempt to rebook your reservation. Please take note that upon cancelling your reservation, you forfeit the option for first refusal of your dates for the following season.
  • Refund Policy: If we manage to rebook your trip, you will receive a refund in the full amount paid less a 10% administrative fee. We do not refund any commissions that were collected if a third party was involved in your reservation. 
    • In the event that you find a replacement angler to assume your reservation, they are responsible for the remaining balance. Any deposit made to Camp Bonaventure, Salmon Lodge and The Club on the Bonaventure is to be coordinated and exchanged amongst the anglers involved.
  • Reservation Policy: At Camp Bonaventure, Salmon Lodge and The Club on the Bonaventure, your satisfaction and enjoyment are our top priorities. All current season guests have first rights of refusal on their fishing trip timeframe for the following season. If you have not confirmed your dates prior to your departure with the Director of Sales or the Manager of your lodge, we kindly ask that you confirm your reservation by contacting us at info@3camps.com within two weeks of your departure. We reserve the right to offer your spot to other anglers if we do not receive a response to our communications within a timely manner or if you do not contact us within the required two-week notice period.  
  • We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. Our foremost commitment is to our anglers and ensuring an exceptional fly-fishing experience.
