Eastern Canada has been experiencing a mild winter with less snow than normal. We have had a good number of storms but the snow has been changing to rain, keeping our accumulations down, certainly around the bay and coastline. The same is not true in the mountains where most of the precipitation has fallen as snow. The temperatures have been above normal but as for snow, nothing’s has changed, its a normal year. Last Sunday after a fresh snowfall I took my snowmobile for a tour to the upper stretches of the Bonaventure river. Once you get into the hills the snow pack is at least four feet, great sledding in all that powder! Below are a few photos, I hope you enjoy them. Rest assured there will be less snow once the season is open!
