This was The Club’s final fishing week of the 2019 Salmon Season. We welcomed six new wonderful guests who truly seemed to have enjoyed their time with us. Even though the weather was a little warmed than we’d all prefer for a fishing trip, salmon were landed and great memories were made!
The Bonaventure River is currently flowing at approximately 12 cubic meters per second. These levels are the norm for the beginning of August but as I am writing this report, we are finally receiving the rain the weather man has been announcing. The rain sounds so beautiful and promising as it falls on the tin roof of the lodge.
The most productive wet fly this week was the green machine! As for dry flies, we are getting most of our action on the green and blue bombers. The sizes most commonly used at this time are 8’s, 10’s and 12’s.
I would like to take this time to thank our wonderful staff at The Club for all their hard work and dedication this past season. I would also like to thank our truly amazing guests, new and returning, for choosing us as your fishing destination. We put our heart into everything we do at The Club and we hope to see you all again next year!
Take Care and Until next time,
Julia
