River Report

The Club’s Fishing & River Report July 1st to 7th, 2019

Welcome back everyone! It was another great week at The Club! Salmon were landed and released every day and I think it’s safe to say that our guests truly enjoyed themselves.

The cooler days seem to be a thing of the past. The beginning of the week was fresh and contained a couple days of cast over but the week took a turn and ended with a couple hot humid days. The upcoming seven-day forecast is announcing temperatures in the 20s with a chance of rain later in the week. Let’s hope the weather man’s right and mother nature spoils us with some showers to keep our water levels right where we like them!

Our wonderful Guide Olivier release a beautiful salmon back to it’s home.

The Bonaventure River is flowing at a comfortable 35 cubic meters per second. Still a little high for this time of year, as the norm for the first week of July would be 20 cubic meters per second, but we are not complaining! The Rivers look healthy and the runs of Salmon just keep coming!

Congrats on a beautiful salmon landed Graham Scott!

Our guests are landing salmon in both the B-3 and B-4 Sectors of the Bonaventure River in pools such as Slocum, Double Camp, Cox and Baker! The takers this week have been Green, Blue and Dark Brown Bombers for Dry Fly Action and The Nagli, John Olin, Picasse and Silver Rat for wet flies! Thank you so much for choosing to spend your vacation as our guests at The Club! Hope to see you all again next year!

Tight Lines Everyone!
