It’s hard to believe the month of June has already come and gone. Time sure does fly by when you’re having a good time! This first week of July was another great one for the books! We shared our week with wonderful returning friends as well as some new faces.
Mother nature brought back the weather we are a lot more accustomed to for the month of June this past week. Our days were comfortable in the 20+ degrees celsius range with very little humidity. We received the rain we all prayed for mid-week and again near the end.
The Bonaventure River continues to supply our guests with some wonderful fishing! The Bonaventure river began and finished its week flowing around 15 cubic meters per second. It dropped to a minimum of 13 cubic meters per second throughout the week but the rain fell in all the right places and picked her back up.
The salmon’s choice of flies this week have been a mixture of dry’s and small wets. Green, Brown and dark Blue Bombers were very productive this week. As for wet flies, the Stone Ghost, Green Butt and Green Machine in sizes 8’s and 10’s have caught the salmon’s eye.
Stay safe & Tight Lines,
Julia
